Symptoms

Thermal warnings messages from I/O SOC+ (type-4) or I/O Graphics Board with SOC+ (type-5) boards.

Resolution

In the case where a Sun Enterprise 4500/5500/6500 is operating above desired

thermal conditions, it's recommended that SBus filler panels or SBus card thermal baffles be installed in option SBus slot 2 .

Install options listed below, follow instructions contained in "SBus Blank Filler and SBus Card Thermal Baffle Installation Guide"

x1098A [FRU] 540-4566 SBUS CARD THERMAL BAFFLE if sbus card present in option slot 2

x1099A [FRU] 330-3283 SBUS BLANK FILLER PANEL if no sbus card is present in option slot 2
