Symptoms

Creating new pool using Sun StorEdge[TM] 6320 Web-UI on a particular array, the Web-UI screen ONLY show 16K segment size storage profile.
There is no option to select 32K segment size.

Resolution

This is a normal behaviour as the selectable profile lists are based on the array configuration parameters setting (cache segment block size is one of these parameters).
These parameters are set first before pool creation and any pools created after will inherent this behaviour.

Check array cache segment size setting either through Web-UI or CLI sscs.

In this case, the array cache segment block size is set to 16K and no available profile from 32K (and other sizes for same reason) segment size profile can be selected from the Configuration Service Web-UI.

The workaround is to select another array which has the right settings or create a new one if there is a spare array.
.
Remove the array's initiators [group] and volumes [group] configuration (data restoration is required if volumes are already populated) either through the Web-UI or CLI and then change the array cache segment block size.

On the Configuration Service Web-UI:

Select array management
-- select Custom Configuration
-- option to change array segment size.

On the Configuration Service CLI:

# sscs list array array00 -- array00 is used as sample below

[sp0]# sscs list array array00
Array: array00
Firmware Version: 3.1.6
Segment size: 16K <-- note the value of segment size is 16K
Cache mode: auto
Online loop diagnostic mode: on
Readahead mode: off

# sscs modify '''-s 32k''' array array00
