PreviouslyPublishedAs 214747 Symptoms Sun Blades with 550Mhz or 650Mhz CPU's will experience the following errors: SUNW_piclenvd: can't open 'cpu' sensor path:/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0/temperature@30:die_temp errno:2 No such file or directory SUNW_piclenvd: can't open 'cpu-ambient' sensor path:/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0/temperature@30:amb_temp errno:2 No such file or directory SUNW_piclenvd: initialization failed! And initial diagnosis might indicate CPU replacement. Resolution Sun Blade[TM] 150 sunw_piclenvd Cannot Open CPU Sensorpath Sun release patch 112233-12 () with support for the pmbus available on the Blade 150, however this was not tested with the 550Mhz CPU's and causes the following errors: sunw_piclenvd cannot open cpu sensorpath so basically this action needs to be taken: Patch 117165-01 () should be added to the machine, and if the system still has the same behavior do the following as a workaround suggested from Bug ID: 5012902 () . Relief/Workaround cp -R -p /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0 /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0 cp -R -p /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/fan-control@c8:sys_fan /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/fan-control@0,c8:sys_fan cp -R -p /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/fan-control@c8:cpu_fan /devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/fan-control@0,c8:cpu_fan If boot -r or devfsadm this machine is needed, redo the above step again.
