Symptoms
Sun StorEdge [TM] 9990 navigator cannot function correctly after microcode upgrade though SVP and the array were functioning fine.

Whenever the Submit button for an configuration manipulation was hit, received the following error:

"An error had occurred in the disk subsystem.
The configuration may be inconsistent. Please select [All Refresh] and refresh
the configuration. (2 58578)"

Resolution
This error indicates that the configuration data in Shared Memory and
the configuration data used by Storage Navigator are out of sync.
Select [All Refresh] and refresh the configuration.
"All Refresh" icon displays only when you are logged in as a storage
administrator in Modify mode. All Refresh allows you to re-acquire
information from SVP and then display it in Storage Navigator. This
icon is located to the left of the padlock icon of the Storage Navigator
Windows.
WARNING: While the update is in process, other users are locked out of
Storage Navigator panels, maintenance operations and SVP operations.
Because the update can take time, do not use All Refresh unless you need
to recover from an error.
Hence, based on the above warning and as a precaution, I would advise to ensure that no other activities like maintenance and other sessions are logon to the SVP.
