Symptoms
You CAN move a Volume Manager license from hostA to hostB. If you have a
vxvm license to manage the INTERNAL drives on your system, you can transfer
the license from hostA to hostB.

Resolution
Call 1-800-USA4-SUN, #3 then #1 to reach the Sun License Center. You can also
go to http://www.sun.com/licensing for more contact information. The Sun License
Center will fax/email you a form requesting your vxvm license key, and the host id
of the new system that will be using Volume Manager.
Note: If you have a Volume Manager license that manages drives on a Sun Array connected
via fibre channel (e.g. SPARCstorage(R) Array (SSA) or Sun StorEdge[TM] A5X00), then you
DO NOT need to call the license center. You can simply move the array from hostA to hostB,
install vxvm, and you will be fully licensed to manage the ARRAY drives on hostB.
See infodoc 17714 for further explanation of Volume Manager licensing.
