Symptoms
This article describes what to do when SE3510 luns are not seen by the host upon boot.

SF X4X00 running Solaris[TM] 10 x86 with kernel patch 118855-19 directly connected with Sun StorEdge[TM] 3510 using SG-XPCI1FC-QLC-Z HBA.
Normally for initial power up, it is recommended that the storage should be first powered on and after the array is ready, we should power on the host. On the above configuration, if we follow this recommendation, we see that the luns are not seen by the host and there are no error messages logged in the /var/adm/messages file.
The command, "luxadm -e port" gives the status as "NOT CONNECTED".

We can also hit this problem when we reboot the host while the array is powered on.

Resolution
This is a product defect which is being investigated by the product engineering.

Additional Information
This problem has been seen with X4200 server and SE3510 storage, but there is a potential of all the x86 servers running Solaris[TM] 10 to be exposed to this problem.
