Symptoms
Solaris[TM] 2.6 or 7 running on a Sun Ray[TM] has the following dtlogin issue
reported in bug id 4267545.

When the following options are selected from the login screen, the
screen will go gray until the time out period expires:

Options==>Remote Login==>Choose Host From List

The error does not occur if the same Host Name is manually entered during
the following sequence:

Options==>Remote Login==>Enter Host Name

Resolution
To get the fix for bug id 4267545, install the following patches on the Sun Ray's
server:
Patch-ID# 105703-18 or greater for Solaris 2.6
Patch-ID# 108303-01 or greater for Solaris 7.
If an immediate workaround is needed, edit /usr/dt/config/Xsetup and change:
$DEVICE_LIB/utaction -i -t 900 \
-d "$DEVICE_LIB/Xcleanup" < /dev/null &
to:
$DEVICE_LIB/utaction -i -t 900 \
-d "$DEVICE_LIB/Xcleanup"  4

Comment: Hi Barry,

Please review Thomas Dehn's comments and make any needed adjustments to this doc.
Once done, please resubmit to the workflow.
You can also close out the KGAP request relating to this article which helps with KFF points.

Comment: Something went wrong here with the KGAP process, and its
probably not Barry's fault. In the KGAP request 44, I wrote:

This document is very outdated. It describes only one
possible root cause, while there are several, the most recent
one being Bug 4962013/Esc 549740.

This document should be updated with known Sun Ray specific
root causes for dtchooser failure, plus solutions, and also
with a crossreferences to general, non Sun Ray specific known root causes for
dtchooser failure (such as Xaccess configurations)."

Obviously this has not been added to the document, presumably because
Barry was assigned the doc without telling him that there is a KGAP
request on it.
