Symptoms
System will not power up. The ALOM "poweron" command gets issued and returns no error but system does not power up. A look at the "showenvironment" ouput shows:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
System Temperatures (Temperatures in Celsius):
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sensor Status Temp LowHard LowSoft LowWarn HighWarn HighSoft HighHard
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CPU temperature information cannot be displayed when System power is off.
FIRE I/O temperature information cannot be displayed when System power is off.
FIOB.T_AMB CRITICAL -64 -15 -10 0 45 47 50
PDB.T_DISK OK 36 -15 -10 0 55 65 70
PDB.T_PS0 OK 35 -15 -10 0 48 50 53
PDB.T_PS1 OK 35 -15 -10 0 48 50 53

Resolution
Problem was actually the top cover interlock switch not being made. The symptom could be misleading and cause one to think there was a defective FIOB or other temperature related condition.
