Symptoms
USB keyboard and mouse stutters on X-Windows applications every 10 seconds, on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 x64, on a Sun Java[TM] Workstation W1100z. The problem persists after SuSE Service Pack 1 installation.

The problem is BIOS related and could be reproduced with the BIOS versions:

Resolution
The problem has been resolved as of BIOS version R01-B4 S3 and newer.

 The latest BIOS is available as part of the W2100/1100z Supplemental CD Image available for download at http://www.sun.com/desktop/workstation/w1100z/downloads.jsp .
