Solution  1003659.1 :   How to address "VOLTAGE_SENSOR @ MB.BAT.V_BAT has exceeded low warning threshold." messages on the Sun Fire[TM] V210 and Sun Fire V240 servers

Symptoms
If the 3v battery located on the motherboard of the Sun Fire[TM] V210 or Sun Fire[TM] V240 fails (or is removed for any reason) then ALOM will send out an alert informing the user of this fact. for example:

SC Alert: VOLTAGE_SENSOR @ MB.BAT.V_BAT has exceeded low warning threshold.

You can also check the battery status by running the prtdiag -v command from Solaris[TM].
Here is an example of the voltage section of prtdiag -v output with a failed battery ==>

Resolution
The battery that resides on the motherboard for these servers is now a FRU part so it can be ordered and replaced independently of the motherboard. To minimize downtime and needless parts replacement when this battery fails it is recommended that the battery FRU part# 371-0090 be ordered and replaced.
