Symptoms
It has been observed that on some Sun Fire[TM] V1280 Servers, when a power supply is hot-plugged, the entry for that power supply in the prtdiag -v output disappears and does NOT re-appear when the power supply is re-seated.

Note that PS1 has been omitted completely from the output.

Resolution
Installing 113447-25 resolved the issue, and after installing the patch, replacing power supplies worked as expected and the power supply did not disappear from the prtdiag -v output.

Since the initial writing of this document, 113447-25 has been superseded by 118558-05, which has since been further revised.

To resolve this issue, ensure that 118558-05 *or later* is installed.
