Symptoms
Sun[TM] systems with Emulex cards may panic during boot if the /etc/system file is missing the following entry, or the entry is commented out:
forceload: drv/clone

The following is an example of what you might see during boot (example taken from a Sun Fire[TM] 15K domain with Emulex cards in the configuration):

Resolution
Boot CDROM or boot net to add/uncomment the forceload for drv/clone in the /etc/system file.

Emulex driver for Solaris[TM] requires drv/clone to be forceloaded in the /etc/system file.
