Symptoms
A Sun StorEdge[TM] 9970 System reported SIM(System Information Messages)
like the following:

• An attempt was made, to replace BATTERY-21, but the SVP(Service Processor)
  would not allow this as it seemed that BATCTR-21 was at fault.
• The BATCTR-21 board was replaced(several times) but the problem persisted.
• So, the Battery Module could not be replaced, due to the above sequential
  checks by the maintenance program.

Resolution
Resolution Steps

1. Dummy-replace the battery controller(remove it), and, while
   the battery controller PCB is pulled out, replace battery-21.
2. Re-insert the battery controller, and complete its replacement
   on the maintenance screen.
