Impact

Any customer wishing to use the SNMP LSI SAS facilities will be unable to do so until the workaround listed in this asset is implemented.

Symptoms

SAS LSI SNMP Windows Software is unavailable for download in the current software patch release SW 1.2. There will be no error messages.

Root Cause

SAS-IR_SNMP_Win_Installer-3.11-0000.zip file not included in SAS LSI SNMP Windows Software 1.2 Update.

Workaround

Sun Service Partners should have a customer case (or Service Request) created, and escalated to the TSC VSP Support group.

Resolution

When the SAS LSI SNMP Windows Software 2.0 Update is available, currently scheduled for sometime in October of 2007, this package will be available via the Sun Download Center (SDLC).
