Impact

As a result of a recent backend infrastructure upgrade, the following changes have been made to the activation process for remote monitoring of SSRR systems.

When activating a SSRR system, the system must be activated in the SAMS3 portal to initiate monitoring of alarms. The following information will need to be provided:

customer site name
system installation address
customer contacts onsite
radiance routing information

A reminder to enter this information has been added to the SSRR Activation Webform.

Once this information has been entered, the SAMS3 application will generate an activation event for a Radiance case to be opened for end to end testing. As a result, it is no longer necessary to open a Radiance case to initiate activation, simply log into the SAMS3 portal to start the process.

Note: Customers may still call into the support organization to initiate activation. In this event, the activation team in the RSC will ensure that the appropriate information has been entered into the portal.
