Sun Fire[tm] B1600 Blade System Chassis: Repair Procedures

This section provides the most common repair procedures for the Sun Fire B1600, which are included in the following manual:

Component Tips
Blade
  • Fan failures may occur on Sun Fire B100s and Sun Fire B100x Server blades where fan speed falls below the critical threshold (FIN I1079-1).
  • Sun Fire B100s Server FRU's may boot from network instead of local disk after installation due to two incorrectly set OBP (FIN I0951-1).
  • Fan issues may occur on SunFire B1600 (B100s and B100x Server blades) where the fan speed falls below critical threshold values (FCO A0236-1).
  • B1600 systems configured with one or more Sun Fire B10n Content Loadbalancing blades may experience a hardware issue resulting in a "watchdog timeout" event. (FCO A0230-1).
Switch and System Controller (SSC)
  • Specific Sun Fire B1600 Blades may experience intermittent operation issues with the Switch and System Controller.(FCO A0232-1).
