External Status Indicator LEDs

LED Name / Color Status Description
Locate Button and
Locate LED / White
Blinking
The Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) command:
set /SYS/LOCATE value=Fast_Blink
has been issued
or
the Locate Button has been pushed.

Pushing the Locate button will cause the Locate LED to blink for 30 minutes.

Holding down the Locate button for 5 seconds will initiate a "push-to-test" mode that illuminates all other LEDs both inside and outside the chassis for 15 seconds.
Off
The blinking Locate LED can be turned off with the ILOM command:
set /SYS/LOCATE value=Off
or by pushing the Locate button.
Ready-to-Remove LED / Blue
On
Blade is in 'standby' power mode meaning the main power is off but there is still power to Service Processor and power supply fans. The blade can be removed from the chassis.
Off
Normal operation.
Service Action Required LED / Amber
Off
Normal operation.
Slow Blinking
A new (unacknowledged) event requiring a service action has been detected.
On
The event has been acknowledged, but the problem still requires attention.
Power/OK LED / Green
Off
Server main power and standby power are off.
Standby Blinking (on for 100m, off for 2900ms)
Standby power is on, but main power is off.
Slow Blinking
POST or diagnostics are running.
On
Server is in main power mode with power supplied to all components.
Hard Disk Drive Power/OK / Green
Fast Blink
Normal disk activity.
Slow Blink
RAID activity.
Off
No disk activity.
Hard Disk Service Action Required / Amber
On
Hard disk fault has been detected.
Hard Disk Ready-to-Remove / Blue
Unused.
Button Name Description
Power Button
Turns the host system on and off. Use a paper clip or other small tipped object to completely press this button.
Reset Button
Not used in the Sun Blade X6220.
