Netra X4270 LEDs

The Netra X4270 server provides the following LED groupings:

LED Name LED color Description
Locator LED and Locator button
White Enables you to identify a particular server. To activate:
  • Press the Locator button to toggle the LED on and off.
  • Using the ILOM command: set /SYS/LOCATE value-Fast_Blink.
    This LED provides the following indications:
  • Off - Normal operating state.
  • Fast Blink - The server received a signal as a result of one of the preceding methods and is indicating here I am - and that it is operational.
  • Service Action Required LED Amber The service required LED will illuminate when any of the following conditions occur:
  • A fault is detected by the system diagnostics, such as POST
  • When a FRU fails.
  • Power/OK LED Off The system is unavailable. System power might be off or disconnected.
    Green - Steady On Normal Operating State
    Green - Slow Blink Indicates that a normal transitory activity is taking place - system diagnostics, or the system is booting.
    Power on/off Button Turns the system on and off. This button is recessed to prevent accidental server power-off. There is no Power On/Off button on the rear panel.
    The four user dry contact alarm LEDs are reserved for customer applications. With the exception of the Critical alarm LED, no user alarm LED will light unless signaled by a customer application.
    Alarm:Critical LED Red May light when power cords are connected and the system is not powered on. Otherwise reserved for customer applications.
    Alarm:Major LED Red Reservered for customer applications
    Alarm:Minor LED Amber Reservered for customer applications
    Alarm:User LED Amber Reservered for customer applications

     

    Disk Drive LEDs

    LED Name LED Color Description
    OK to Remove Blue On - Drive is ready for hot-plug removal
    Off - Normal operation
    Fault Amber On - Drive has a fault and requires attention
    Off - Normal operation
    Activity Green On - Drive is receiving power. Solidly lit if drive is idle
    Flashing - Drive is active
    Off - Power is off

    Power Supply LEDs
    Power OK Green On - Normal operation. Output voltage is within normal limits
    Off - Power is off
    Fault Amber On - Failure detected
    Off - Normal operation
    Source OK Green On - Normal operation. Input power is within normal limits
    Off - No input voltage, or input voltage is below limits
    System Status LEDs
