Notes

  1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 6/06 x64.
  2. The AST2000 supports a maximum video frequency of 165MHz.
  3. The AST2000 supports display resolutions up to 1600x1200x16-bit@60Hz.
  4. System board removal requires a #2 Phillips Screwdriver and an 5mm nutdriver.
  5. The systems CPU speeds and CPU part numbers are labeled on the blower air duct.
  6. The System Board FRU includes two 250-1802 Cleaning Wipes and
    two 310-0065 Shin-Etsu X23-7783D Thermal Grease Syringes.

Quad Core Opteron Notes

  1. Quad Core Opteron requires BIOS 3D08.
  2. BIOS 3D08 requires a 1MB Flash PROM.
  3. System Board 375-2560 includes a 1MB Flash PROM.
  4. Upgrades X5328A-QC-UP1 and X5328A-QC-UP2 include a 1MB Flash PROM.
  5. Upgrades X5329A-QC-UP1 and X5329A-QC-UP2 include a 1MB Flash PROM.

Clearing CMOS Notes

  1. Power off the system and disconnect the AC power cord.
  2. Remove the CR2032 battery for 30 seconds.
  3. Reinstall the CR2032 battery.
  4. Reconnect the AC power cord.

Memory Notes

  1. Install memory in pairs of two DIMMs.
  2. Install memory beginning at DIMM 0 and ending at DIMM 7.
  3. If more than four DDR2-667 DIMMs are installed per CPU, memory speed for that CPU is reduced to 533MHz.
