Notes

  1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 10/09.
  2. Heatsink FRU 541-2545 includes Heatsink 310-0161, two 240-6751 SpringScrews, one 250-1802 Cleaning Wipe and one 310-0065 Shin-Etsu X23-7783D Thermal Grease Syringe. Heatsink 310-0161 is pre-greased with Shin-Etsu G751.
  3. The System Board FRU includes two 250-1802 Cleaning Wipes, and two 310-0065 Shin-Etsu X23-7783D Thermal Grease Syringes.

Chassis Notes

  1. The X6270 M2 is supported in Sun Blade 6000 A90-A, A90-B, and A90-D.
  2. The X6270 M2 is not supported in Sun Blade 6048.

Memory Installation Notes

  1. Install memory filler panel 350-1288 in all unused slots.
  2. Install the first DIMMs in CPU0 and CPU1 slots D8, D5, and D2.
  3. Install the second DIMMs in CPU0 and CPU1 slots D7, D4, and D1.
  4. Install the third DIMMs in CPU0 and CPU1 slots D6, D3, and D0.
  5. Memory speed is dependent on the number of DIMMs and the CPU Front Side Bus.
  6. Maximum speed is 1333MHz when 1333MHz DIMMs are installed in D8, D5, and D2.
  7. Maximum speed is 1066MHz when two DIMMs of any speed are installed per channel.
  8. Maximum speed is 800MHz when three DIMMs of any speed are installed per channel.
  9. Use of the same DIMM size and speed is recommended for maximum performance.

Cable Notes

  1. ATO Option 4859A includes four 530-3993 data cables.
  2. ATO Option 4860A includes one 530-4376 data cable.
  3. Cable Kit 542-0376 includes four 530-3993 and one 530-4376.
  4. Cable 530-4376 has one SFF-8087 to four SATA connectors.
