Notes

  1. The minimum operating system is Solaris 8 2/04 or Solaris 9 9/04.
  2. The Sun Blade 2500 serial number and factory configuration label is located on the upper left side of the front bezel and on the rear of the chassis.

Memory Notes

  1. The minimum memory is two CPU0 DIMMs.
  2. CPU1 does not require memory in slots DIMM 4/5 or 6/7.
  3. At least two CPU1 DIMMs are recommended if CPU1 is installed.
  4. The memory installation sequence is Bank 2 then Bank 0.
  5. Bank, Rank, DIMM, and XOR Interleaving is supported.
  6. Only CPU 0 DIMMs are accessible in a single CPU system (CPU 0).
  7. Memory is mapped globally and is accessible by either CPU in a dual-CPU system.
  8. UltraSPARC IIIi supports single bank and dual bank DDR-1 SDRAM DIMMs.
  9. Two DIMMs of the same bank size (single or dual) and memory size form a bank.
  10. Memory error reporting identifies a failing Bank, not a single failing DIMM.
