Notes

  1. The minimum operating system is Solaris 7.
  2. The Quad GigaSwift Ethernet ce device driver requires Solaris 7 Patch 112327-17, Solaris 8 Patch 111883-23, or Solaris 9 Patch 112817-16.
  3. To configure 501-6522 into an hsPCI I/O assembly (option X4575A) on Sun Fire 12K or 15K, the following patches are required:
    On Solaris 8: >= 116962-01
    On Solaris 9: >= 117171-07
  4. The minimum operating system for the VLAN Utility is Solaris 8.
  5. The VLAN Utility requires Solaris 8 Patch 112119-04 or Solaris 9 Patch 114600-02.
  6. Use 1.5' Ethernet Cable 530-3335 without locking tab and RJ45 Female to Female Adapter 130-5586 to workaround BugID 5011918 against 501-6522-06.
    (Cable Kit 530-3336 includes 530-3335 and 130-5586.)
    530-3335 and 130-5586 briefly shipped with X4444A until 501-6522-07 was released.
  7. 501-6522-07 fixes BugID 5011918 (WO_29531, July 2004) by positioning connector orientation tab down:
